I am changing my original 4 stars to 1 star because it no longer works. I wish it was more durable - it only lasted 3 months. I finally bought this sharpener after having bad luck with the cheaper ones at Revain. I especially liked the "blunt" feature because I bought them primarily for my four year old's crayons. For several months he had sharpened many colored pencils. I have to give the pencils a good spin to make sure all the pencils are sharp, but that's fine. The blunt and medium functions don't work for me but as this is my second electric pencil sharpener I'm just glad it sharpens my pencils well. Overall I'm glad I chose this one and if the one I have breaks I'll probably buy it again.
