great for a half step
I'm short and needed a few extra inches to get to the bottom of our washing machine. I was afraid that the step stool would slide out from under me because I was pushing it at an awkward angle, and I figured that half step might be just right, and it was. I use it on tile floors and even when I bend over the washing machine it never slips off. If you just need a few inches of extra buoyancy, I think this is a good option.
