Being new to wood repair I had no idea what I was getting myself into. It was a pleasant surprise of simplicity and use. (1) Polymerized linseed oil with beeswax darkens your finish and adds depth. This is how it looks "wet". Photo on the left after applying a layer, on the right before it. I weathered and sanded the raw pine stain. (2) It is very smooth and soft to the touch, cure time is 24 hours (3) I was very concerned about how it would handle spills and clay up to 3/5 years old but so far so good . - were only on the 5th day. This coating is said to be water repellent and so far it is. They also state that compared to traditional polyurethane compounds, it is easier to correct defects, just peel, reapply and buff. I haven't tested it yet, but I will for sure. (4) Due to the beeswax content of polymerized linseed oil no other sealers or paints can be applied unless you are removing a tried and true traditional finish which I have read is quite difficult for that finish. I didn't know this before applying it to the table. I wish I could read this.
