Superb quality. The only issue was the fit - our 9 month old golden retriever's neck measured 17 inches. Most reviews say that 2" is too big, but I took a chance and ordered the 18" X-Large length - the 20" seemed too big to me. And I was right (or rather lucky) - the 18" collar fits perfectly. With a snug fit (I can fit two fingers under the collar), there are still 2 punched holes for expansion. If he continues to grow I will happily buy the next size up and think it's a good money investment. The fur on the dog's neck lies flat and mostly covers the collar completely. The skin is a nice medium brown, a little darker than in the picture (but this is not a complaint). It just exudes quality. Rarely have I been so completely satisfied with a product.
