Review on 🚗 Dynomax Ultra Flo 17554 Performance Exhaust Muffler by Josh Boii

I used a DynoMax Ultra Flo™ X, model 17554, with two 3" inlet and two 3" outlet mufflers to fill the restrictive factory center muffler substitute. In my case, the advantages of the muffler include less restriction, a compact size compared to the factory mufflers and additional scavenging with an integrated cross-flow X-pipe, which helps to improve exhaust evacuation through the Venturi effect. In my exhaust system, the product was slightly louder than the stock product. Those were all the features I was looking for. I was very glad. Unfortunately the product failed within a month and would have failed earlier had it not been for the low mileage. The interior of the product began to rattle, fell apart, and then blew the sound deadening fiberglass material through downpipes and mufflers, with possible limitations in other mufflers from debris. I tried a second replacement muffler from the same manufacturer within a month. I think it's unlikely that the two muffler failures were caused by a rare fault anomaly, and more likely that the product has a design flaw, most likely bad welds, poor material strength, or material heat resistance. Let's hope that the manufacturer solves this problem quickly. Very disappointing.
