They are great for blinds and curtains

I really like these blinds. They are easy to install and the hooks can be placed anywhere on the back (except about 1" from the ends) allowing you to attach the hooks/clips to almost any stud pattern you might have over a window. Great design! However, I strongly recommend making your blinds a few inches larger than your window frame (on each side). If you do, they will be perfect. In my case, I had to close two very large (57-58 inch) windows. It was difficult to find blinds big enough, so I used 60 inch blinds. I encountered some problems. The actual blind is not 60" (as explained in the product description) as it is measured so that you can attach it to the window frame and the blind does not reach the ends. Also, you can't move the brackets/hooks all the way. So my blinds couldn't be placed evenly on the windows (with my rivet pattern) so the two blinds aren't quite symmetrical to each other. There's also a bit of room on the sides where you can peek because the blinds stick out a few inches from the wall. I fixed both the symmetry and privacy/crack issues by hanging curtains over the blinds. Now you can't notice the imperfect alignment and the curtains will cover the gaps. So make sure you buy blinds that are a few inches wider on each side than your windows, but if you can't do that, you can add curtains to cover the sides.
