Good starter kit for bottling and capping but the capper doesn't last long

Purchased on 19th November after deciding to brew again. Arrived on time and in perfect condition. I have brewed 6 1 gallon batches since November and always use a capper to cap bottles. The last two batches have many problems with the capper's work. It didn't close properly, two bottles broke and several other bottles didn't close as expected so I lost all primary fizz. Upon inspection I found that the bottom "metal ring" that sits on top of the bottle neck is completely bent and cannot be straightened. The sealing tape also showed signs of wear and damage. Enough for 40 bottles, no more.
