It's time to change the fender!
In 15 years I haven't thought about dishwasher splashbacks other than that they got soft over time and the slimy dirt around the edges needed cleaning more often as it's a source of odor more often than the garbage chute. Saw these when researching and bought slide cleaning tablets, they are identical to the original and the new rubber is harder and stronger and stays in place. I didn't think about changing the fender, now it's time. 15 years is too long!
