Okay let me start by saying that I was happy to use this. Having planned to use it for my search and rescue gear with its waterproof and extremely durable construction, I was very disappointed. It flows like crazy between the wick and the body. Lighter fluid flows out of the lid when opened. If you don't wipe it off, prepare to ignite the top of the lighter and anything that spilled down. After a few evolves, this will cause the cotton balls to dry out to the point where they won't catch fire at all. Finally, the Flint Striker is too much! great for the thumb grip but it wears down the flint like crazy. No problem if you pack a few extras into the base, and I'll say it's pretty easy to swap out. The design is good and well thought out, but the execution/function can be greatly improved. O-ring to seal the wick?
