Review on Fuel Filter Chevy Duramax Engines by Jeremy Gulledge

It was a bad buy! I bought it because it had to be a quality set. The piston seals didn't even come close. They were significantly larger in diameter than the seals removed from the piston. The rest of the gaskets in the kit will fit. The parts bag had a sticker that said "Fuel Filter Base Seal Kit for 6.6L Chevy Duramax Engines, NEW". What does "NEW" mean, I don't know? I have a 2004 Duramax LLY truck. On my pump, the other 4 seals were hard. I used a gasket kit for them and they fit. I used old piston seals when I needed to start a truck and the old seals seemed pliable. When the repair was complete, the pump held vacuum, fueled normally, and the truck started normally. Why didn't the piston seals fit? Be careful when you buy.
