When I first turned on the gas, I heard a pop and then all the gas escaped. The o-ring that seals the outer tube of the flow meter has not been installed properly. I disassembled and reinstalled it and have had no problems since. The top is plastic, not glass, so after some use it may develop stress cracks and start to leak. I can't speak to accuracy as I don't have instruments to measure the flow, but it increases as you add gas and decreases as you close the valve.
