arrived within 2 days. The product, as stated, was a transparent, adjustable, magnetic ventilation and air conditioning deflector. My order was for a 4-pack of metal ceiling fans. The packaging says "for floor vents" but they will work on any vent. The small magnets barely keep the ventilation in place. as I'm pretty sure most vent covers are cast iron and not real steel etc which makes the magnets unreliable especially if it's a ceiling mount hanging over your head. This is easy to fix though: the husband unscrewed the bleed screws just enough to place the deflector bar/edge under the deflectors, screw in the head and tighten. Ideal! Another alternative would be to just use double sided tape or carpet tape (not the clear cellophane tape). Since the deflectors can be adjusted by sliding, I was concerned if they would rattle or whistle when air is pushed through them, though. no problem, they work great and do their job. The best way to mark the solution is to add baffles to the ceiling vents, causing the cool air from the air conditioner to rise up and traverse the ceiling, causing the hot air being lifted to move/circulate. When the hot air rises and creates better circulation, the room stays cooler longer, and that's the best part. By doing the same throughout the house we have found that the air conditioning is more efficient, cools better, runs less AND definitely less dust, improved circulation with excellent electrostatic return filters. BIG, BIG DIFFERENCE. Our heater has always worked great, I look forward to using it with the deflectors now!
