Wilton has a reputation for quality and these little vises definitely don't come cheap. However, this is far from the quality of other Wiltons. Mine arrived worn and chipped which I think is common with all vises after delivery. The finish is sprayed clear all at once with the vise fully assembled. The swashplates and screws are sprayed with a red base coat visible from below. The rest of the paint is sloppy where they tried to camouflage things like pine. The insides are where the thing really fails. The movable cheek piece looked as if it had been polished with an angle grinder. The centering pins were completely asymmetrical and very rough, making the jaws very difficult to open and close. Every part inside was rough and sharp, meaning nothing moves smoothly. To even get mine to work I had to completely disassemble it and manually grind the moving jaw shaft to a smooth finish. I also had to knock out both locator pins so they could be filed smoothly and adjusted to fit the keyway on the lower jaw cylinder. I also had to sand the swivel base mating surfaces as they were rough and didn't slide well over each other. After about an hour of use it's fairly usable, but still far from what you'd expect from the Wilton brand. and price.
