Super Junior Opening Wilton 63244 SBV 65 Review

The base is very bad for vise. Slots for swinging the vise are molded into the base without attempting to clean the casting. The jaws are difficult to open and close as the fit is very poor. After disassembling, cleaning chips, grinding and assembling various parts, it got "better". The price is too high for this quality tool.

I bought this vise hoping to satisfy my desire for a 2 inch bullet. God I was wrong. After five minutes of fiddling with this vise out of the box it turned out that they were of lesser quality than I could have been. The vise was so difficult to open that it took full effort to turn the handle, it jammed in several places, and generally seemed poorly made. Wilton has a reputation for quality and these little vises definitely don't come cheap. However, this is far from the quality of other Wiltons. Mine arrived worn and chipped which I think is common with all vises after delivery. The finish is sprayed clear all at once with the vise fully assembled.
