This is a pretty good tire inflator, but only when you're around or in the car. I'm not sure it's too good for blowing up things like basketballs or other sporting venues unless you take the time to plug it into a cigarette lighter adapter (assuming you don't leave it plugged in, which was would not). it doesn't make much sense if you do!) and go through this issue. However, there are many other products on the market for this. Otherwise, it's probably pretty good for roadside emergencies. At this point you will of course need something that needs to be connected to the power supply. A battery powered pump isn't going to go all that far compared to a constant wattage pump like this. I'm not sure if there are too many people using this product who have had to use it in an emergency like this and I hope there isn't. However, based on my garage use, I think it should be powerful in case your car's tires need air in the event of a puncture. Overall it's of pretty good quality and has a good use case when needed.
