The length is enough to reach the windows and surfaces of the car.
I use a car wash mop without any problems and am 79 years old. My husband and I also used it to clean the gutters in our house with a gutter cleaner and water. This was enough for easy access to most areas. One hinge is a little torn but we'll glue it for future reference.
