Compact, functional, does the job

This is the first spiralizer I have ever bought. I love it, and oddly enough, eating veggies is a lot more fun when they're cut into long strips. What I like: It's not clunky and works well if you have a little finesse with using it. You'll have to figure out how to press it correctly to create spirals, which honestly isn't that hard. Things to improve: You have 1 inch food scraps and need to cut veggies to fit. Another issue is that they need to be at least 1" round to attach at the back, but this becomes a problem especially with carrots as they aren't always that thick. and carrots often break. My suggestion for the company to fix this design flaw and minimize waste is a needle that rises so you can put all the veg on it. This needle should be as long as a rotating arm. The rotating arm should have a hole in the center to allow the needle to fit inside the rotating arm (the needle is inside the arm), minimizing waste.
