This is a simple surge protector with extra USB ports. All six outlets are spaced far enough apart to accommodate wall warts, with two a little farther back. This also allows them to accommodate many smart plugs. I bought two because I thought I would use one for travel - and since the pandemic restrictions have eased a bit here in Washington, traveling is easier - but finding a hotel room with more outlets isn't easy, so I guess that I did the right thing here. =) The surge protection rating is 1280J, which is the number you want to increase. I'm awaiting an answer on the clamping voltage and expect it to be under 400V as Anker is known to be serious. Please note: I haven't actually tested this. It's the same reason you don't check your home/rental/car/whatever insurance policy. This thing is meant to act as a barrier against surges or surges - you don't want them hitting you, and you definitely don't want to test them. Let the UL team do it for you. All in all, if you're looking for an extension cord that will get the job done I highly recommend this one because Anker made it, it's also a proper surge protector and six outlets.
