Gradually leaking: Buy a brand with flanges.

This brand may be a best seller, but if you type 'wine stoppers' how many other brands and styles do you see? Only one on the front page, so here's a quick and quick rundown. Buy a brand like Le Creuset that has multiple rows of thin flanges. However, this style makes the seal more durable and much more effective. This Vacu Vin design has the advantage of having a tapered shape (smooth sides) and if you need to use it on a larger bore bottle it will work better than the straight sided and flanged design. But it has no flanges. it depends on how hard you push it into the bottle while evacuating the air. But when you bleed, you will always hear a much louder intake noise with a multi-flange style bleed compared to a VV design. I've capped over 200 times with the Vacu Vin. I've capped over 2000 times with two other brands with much superior design and these VacuVin caps that always lose by a very significant margin. I ask Amzn to accept the return. When you're trying to save on a $60 bottle of wine you want something that works, and after 200+ uses I'm sure the Vacu Vin's shape and design is inferior to several thin flange designs. This isn't rocket science. Three rows of thin flanges create a holding power many times greater than a smooth Vacu Vin design bowl pressed against smooth glass.
