The connector appeared to be fairly solid, although not as solid as the Ford OEM connector it replaced. The molded cable was good and the length was just right for my purpose. Installation was easy. . I simply drilled a 2" hole in the steel bumper next to the license plate and then used self tapping screws to attach the connector. I then routed the attached molded wire to the wire harness where the OEM wires were and soldered/heat shrunk them. I ran into the problem that the color code in the connector is different from any standard trailer wiring diagram. It's even different from the color code I got from the Hopkins website for that exact connector. I don't remember the exact color code, but I do remember the center pin was yellow when it should have been purple or black. This is what the default code should look like. Yellow Right Turn - Green Tail - Brown Standard wiring diagrams can be found here: http://www.etrailer.com/faq-wiring.aspx
