We moved into an existing home last fall. The deck was good but most of the wooden pole covers were chipped or cracked. I went through all the options and these copper caps caught my eye. I'm very happy with how easy they went. They're loose enough to allow the caps to blow off in high winds, so I bought some copper nails for the HD finish. I drilled the plugs but it turned out that wasn't necessary. I drilled a few holes right next to the crack in the frame. I held the copper nails with needle nose pliers and drove the nails through the copper with no problem!
