I like to have an air pump in my car "just in case" and have tried several different brands over the years. I ordered this pump because it had good reviews and it would "automatically" top up low tire pressure to the desired pressure while I was in the car due to inclement weather. I've used the pump a few times and overall it worked well. I was out on business today when I noticed a tire was undersized. No problem, I thought. I hooked everything up and then found that the pump pressure was set too low. I eventually got it to respond a bit, but the maximum pressure I could set the pump to was 20psi and the pump refused to go any higher. After trying to lower it and then raise it, it got stuck at 3psi, which is even less helpful. There is no way to manually change the pump setting and now I'm stuck outside in a December rain trying to inflate a tire. Finally a very nice woman suggested I use her pump and I was able to return home. Although my first impression of the pump was positive, I've changed my mind. The tire pump should "just workβ. In this case, the "mind" pump dulled and failed me. I am switching brands and replacing my Jaco pump with something that is less likely to fail at the wrong time.
