I bought this step for my Toyota 4Runner with 2" hitch. The product design comes with parts so it will work with both 2" and 1 1/4" hitch. ; However, the design is such that it has two different attachment points for the hitch, giving them different heights. The 2" hitch size makes the step so low that: 1) if I leave it on my truck all the time. it would catch the sidewalk just pulling in and out of my driveway; 2) It doesn't offer enough headroom for my 13 year old 100+ pound dog to get in unaided. The product seems to be made well enough - maybe it rattles due to the clasp design. But the seller made the return process easy including taking care of my return as I just took it out of the box, measured and put it back.
