Saves $ / Amazing / EASY!

Amazing! I could have saved over 800€! 2010 Jeep Wrangler 2-Door JK. This is my 5th Jeep Wrangler since 1983. I have had 2 CJ, TJ, JK and JKU. I'll keep this JK forever. It's simple (sporty version), not overly complex or fancy (just like my JKU which we give to our son who still drives). I love the cloth seats, the rolled-up windows and the liberty panels in the hardtop. Jeep at the top when Pikes Peak, traveled to many states on it. And this is my daily driver. I just spent over $800 at a local Jeep dealership for a "evaporator leak" and about 3 weeks later the check engine light came on! I was angry. The nice guy at the dealer told me to get a cheap code reader. If it's that code again. This is a "small" evaporator leak in the exhaust. Does NOT affect the engine. He told me that my gaskets, gas tank, filler hose, everything was fine. and that I can reset this code myself with this reader. Well as you can see. It was the same code as the guy said. and it's not serious. EXCEPT I ride a Harley. Imagine you are sitting behind a large diesel pickup truck at a traffic light. And this idiot fixed his rig to, as they say, "roll the coals". It blows out a plume of black smoke with so much junk in it my jeep couldn't stand it. A WHOLE YEAR to get the same thing out of the trash. The EPA loophole these trucks go through is ridiculous! So I don't feel bad at all for having this little problem with my jeep! I tried to fix it. I paid a lot of money. swapped sensors etc and was told the only other option was to pressure test at the dealer and swap out the entire system. about $3000! Nuts. 20 dollars. This little machine fixed my problem in my driveway in less than 5 minutes. And that included downloading the manual and reading it carefully! I love this thing! He stays in my jeep!

Pros
  • NO BATTERY REQUIRED: The MS300 OBDII scanner communicates with vehicles using a standard 16-pin OBD2 cable and is powered directly from the vehicle - no battery required. Please note the correct order of use: switch off the engine - switch on the MS300 - switch on the ignition.
Cons
  • Useless features
