Review on WOWOW Bathroom Single Handle Center Set Assembly: Effortless Elegance for Your Bathroom by Kevin Abner

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Basically a very good faucet but 2 weak parts

Overall this is a very good faucet after finally installing them all. I decided to replace all 5 of my aging, leaking bathroom faucets in my house with these. I bought 2 first to see if I wanted them; then 3 more The items provided show a caring company, like white gloves (even though I didn't use them), tape, nice packaging, etc. The main fitting bracket is very nice. However, the faucet base is slightly smaller than the ones I replaced, so the old faucet contour stains that formed on the sink aren't completely covered by the smaller base of this faucet. It doesn't matter, but what do you need to know. All of the plumbing connections were compatible with mine, except that the vertical drain pipe wasn't long enough to fit perfectly into the U-pipe on one of my sinks. I had to force the connection. It's not dripping, but I'll keep an eye on it for a while. The reason I deducted 1 star is that the lift rod is very thin: about 1/2 times thicker than the previously known brand D lift rod. Worse still is the very weak vertical connector connecting the lift rod to the horizontal drain rod connects. It is too weak, will flex and will not function properly if there is resistance or too much play when moving the lift rod up and down. (One of the reasons for too much free play is that the included small diameter lift rod is much smaller than the hole in the faucet it goes through.) I went back to the old, much stronger, thicker diameter and more reliable famous D.- Brand lift rod and I had to buy 3 more better quality lift rods from my local plumbing store. For the included flimsy flimsy vertical connector (between the lift rod and the horizontal drain stop rod) I went back to using the much stronger and more reliable old familiar brand D-connectors and some sinks use *2* flimsy connectors from the kit (yes, 2! ). The included thin vertical connectors are almost as weak as electrical tape. Maybe I should have deducted another star here, but I decided against it because the main faucet and other details were so good. It seems that the low cost of this faucet is indicated by the thin lift rod that comes with it and a very flimsy vertical connector: a very sad decision. WOWOW: Provide a stronger lift rod and vertical connector and charge extra for them if needed! If I couldn't use some of my older, stronger D brand parts, I would be a lot unhappier with this purchase. I am happy with the end result. As always YMMV.
