I misread the description when ordering. It's a power strip that you plug POE power into and it then distributes the love to other POE devices in your system. It's great when there are a few cameras around, but it doesn't work as a switch for other devices. I don't know how it's an amp (in the description) until it has its own power supply. My ONVIF cameras work fine with it. I can't tell what this does for my system other than distribute power to other cameras. It generally works, be careful, it has no power of its own.
