The listing advertises these speakers as RMS: 90W max 180W. Actual power consumption is 2x40W (RMS), peak power is 2x80W. I gave them three stars because they actually sound pretty good for the price, just don't crank them up too much. They were installed in a covered deck to avoid exposure to the elements and after a month of use for about 2-3 hours a day they practically died. When on, the speakers made almost no sound, even when the volume was turned up. I can no longer recommend these speakers, even at the bargain price. Spend a little more and get a better quality speaker set.
