I live in a rural area and the driveway is not visible from inside the house. This is the first driveway alarm I've bought to let me know when someone has moved in. Although the packaging says it's a doorbell sensor, it's sold as a driveway alarm. It works well overall, but I've only had it for a few weeks. The instructions are pretty typical for a mainstream Chinese electronic product. Lots of trial and error on the part of the buyer. Installation is easy, except that you have to make sure that the various covers just pop out. I have an outdoor sensor about 100 feet from my house and it works well with an indoor unit in the middle of the house. The pair connection is instantaneous; Every time I unplug the indoor unit, it reconnects as soon as it reconnects. I really like the volume control. I find most of the different tones dumb to be honest, but that's just me. You're sure to find something to live with. I use a narrow opening cover because I only want vehicles to trip over it, but a person walking about ten feet away will trip about half the time. So far we've only had one alarm in the middle of the night. Maybe a deer or a bug landed on it. If this becomes a problem I just turn off the indoor unit for the night. I'm hoping for long battery life, but time will tell; Devices like this seem to have long battery life, so I hope so too. I'm sure there are better products out there, but I was trying to save money on my first set of lights and so far it's working well.
