Buy the cheaper Meade 90mm or 102mm instead. This scope can't do what Meade can. This scope has run down products. Waste of money, I threw mine in the trash as I didn't want to donate and disappoint anyone. The two major downsides are the single-stick hand-tracking system and the viewfinder. The mount uses a single handle to manually move the scope horizontally and vertically, rather than two separate mechanical systems for horizontal and vertical control. The rod system made it awkward to get a stable image, especially since the image in the eyepiece was also moving when the rod was blocked. The best attainable magnification for the planet was 67x, which is insufficient. The finderscope isn't working, so you'll need to use a different one. The design of the viewfinder is that the working end of the viewfinder faces backwards from the front of the sight. The focuser slipped the first time it was used. Save money, go somewhere else.
