I use them as Christmas lights on the inside of the second floor bay window. The way they are designed allows you to change the height of the bottom lamp and the width between them depending on where you place the hooks at the top of each light strip. I've seen reviews that the packaging was a problem and difficult to unravel. I think the manufacturer packaged them well. Each strip is twisted and wired for incredibly easy unrolling. You must wrap them in the same way if you use them seasonally, otherwise I can easily see that there will be a headache the next time you use them. There are various settings, one of which is very fast blinking, which may affect those prone to seizures, but there are also slow fade settings. The only thing that's a bit unusual is that the remote receiver is in the plug, so you have to point the remote at the plug, which I think can be a problem when it's behind furniture. After they were hung, I was honestly surprised that they only cost $20. This is good value for money. I recommend not doubting the purchase.
