I purchased these to protect my big toe that seems to get rubbed the wrong way in closed in shoes. However, if the shoe is too tight, this will not help, it will make the situation worse. Make sure you have a good roomie shoe/toe box. I like the fact that you can wash them after each use. I would recommend these.
