Dangerous defects. I would return it if I could
We're experienced kettle users so I know when they're as poorly constructed as this one. Non-metallic parts tend to melt. The whistle/neck cap melted in a few days causing the whistle to fail. We can live with that, but now it's more melted and you can't safely use it to pour water. The spout itself also spits out drops of boiling water in all directions. . The center burner stays on the bottom edge, but that's still too much heat for the cheap materials used here. AVOID!
