Arcan 3-Ton Steel Jack StandsMy husband has been looking for jack stands, so I ordered these when they were offered. Anyone who crawls under anything held up by only a jack is asking for trouble. These jack stands work great for most DIY maintenance and repairs. They are lightweight and easy to place yet have plenty of strength for any vehicle or tractor that would fit into a typical garage. They are shipped without the support column inserted in the stand. Before you insert them, examine the stand and you'll find a label next to a cutout. This is the support column keeper that you'll need to bend over after you insert them. If you don't, the support column will pull right up and out of the stand. These aren't going to win any design awards; the stand is stamped-and-welded steel and the paint chips pretty easily. However, they are a good price and sturdy enough for me to trust them to not fail under load. Recommend.
