I wanted something that offered more protection for my pickup. I am currently using one from Bully which is a good solid piece and is holding up well. I wanted one that is a little wider. This one is definitely well built from thick steel. It has a good corrosion resistant coating that also provides a little extra traction when used to lift onto a truck bed. I use it without the included stabilizer bar as I often remove the hitch guard to tow a trailer and it doesn't rattle. Very happy with the purchase and somewhat reassured after installation.
