The build quality and features of this camera typically come at a much higher cost. Most of the cameras in this price range are built primarily with plastic, and the mobile apps feel like they were made 5 years ago. I was up and running within a few minutes of unpacking the camera, and the recommended app is intuitive and has a lot of powerful features. It also uses the ONVIF standard, so it works in a variety of different IP camera management programs available for MacOS, Windows, Linux, iOS, & Android. Once you use a PTZ camera, it's hard to settle for fixed security cameras. The ability to point directly where you need it with a swipe of your finger or scroll of your mouse without climbing up a ladder and manually adjusting it is incredibly useful. I have a lot of experience with different security cameras, and after using and setting this one up, I have no problems recommending it.
