The trainer works very well but the downside is that it only fits through collars because the collar feeding holes are very small. You'll need to tie off the extra if the collar they send with him gets knotted or the whole thing slips off while they're walking or playing with other dogs. The beep works well too. I've taught mine to come to me when it squeaks, although I've given them snacks when it squeaks. So they can hear the beep in full boot mode and run to me and sit down. Vibrations also work well just to distract them from focusing too much on something or overlooking a behavior. Haven't used the shock yet but the hubs did it 1 time and said it worked fine at level 5 to stop them from chasing the duck. It goes to level 16 and I don't understand why it's so high. We test the punch on ourselves first to make sure it's not too hard and feels like a yank from a low electric fence or a hard slap on the elbows for those who don't know what a fence is. We have a big mix of dogs so 5 works well just to push it. I still don't understand why the values are so high. The warning states that when using high concentrations, you need to move the collar about every hour or so, and if an ulcer develops, contact your veterinarian immediately. 😳 Like I said, it shouldn't be so high that someone might miss using it.
