I work in the kitchen and bought it to cut several boxes of mushrooms every week. Overall it works great but I'm only giving it 4 stars out of 5 because: 1. It's quite difficult to clean. We're talking mushrooms, so the last thing you want is mushrooms left on a kitchen tool for a few days. Ideally, you'll need a toothbrush to clean it, or a large bristle brush to get into every nook and cranny of this food slicer. 2, when you are about to cut something, if you don't push down properly you will catch the blades on top and prevent you from closing/cutting something completely. I probably do this 1 time in 5, less often now that I'm used to it, but if you say use it once a week for a few things or even less, you'll stop catching blades. every time. In that respect I would buy it again.
