Review on 🛠️ 5" Hook-&-Loop Replacement Sander Pad for DeWalt DWE6423/6423K, DWE6421/6421K, DCW210B - Direct Replacement for DWE64233 & N329079 by Olusola Edwards

I bought two of these to replace a worn sanding pad on a Dewalt orbital sander (DWE6423). The first one I installed seemed a bit odd once I started sanding it. It jumped more than usual at all speed settings and produced much more noticeable clip marks on low sand rims than I was used to. Upon closer inspection, the center of the plate was wrinkled outward and did not produce a smooth abrasive surface. Block removed, flipped, changed - same problem. Upon closer inspection, I noticed a design flaw in the pad: the center metal ring was recessed inward from the outer foam ring; the latter also separated from the former after about 30 minutes of milling. Then I switched to another pad and it seems to work. However, I can still easily detach the outer foam ring from the metal piece, indicating poor overall quality. This is in contrast to my original Dewalt liner which is fully intact after about 100 hours of grinding. I guess I should have spent a few more dollars and bought a genuine Dewalt part for the first time!
