Review on WaterCop Classic Motorized Actuator Water Safety & Security by Jayson Sharma

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Now I sleep better knowing I won't get flooded again.

It may not be cheap but it's worth it. After my water heater broke and the basement flooded, I said I would buy a Watercop system. The insurance company fixed my basement and after I kept saying I would book next week until one morning I went to the basement and found water on the floor due to a broken sink faucet. Shame on me for not purchasing and installing this system sooner. Thank god I noticed in time that there wasn't much water on the floor. I wiped my basement dry and ordered this system the same day. I have sensors in my three bathrooms, kitchen, washer/dryer/sink, water heater and where the Watercop system was installed. Now I sleep better knowing there will be no more floods in my house. As soon as one of the sensors detects water on the floor, the pipes are shut off and the only water that comes out is the water remaining in the pipes in the house. Even if there is a leak somewhere in the house, I know it as soon as I turn on the faucet because the water stops flowing. My only suggestion from the company that makes this product would be to turn off the main motor and valve. a backup battery in case of a power failure. I bought a separate backup power supply for this system. Aside from the lack of a backup battery, this is a very good investment to protect your home from flooding. If, like me, you've experienced a flood in your home, you know what I mean! If you're a handy person like me and good at plumbing and soldering then I'd say you can install it yourself (just like me). I have), but if not, your best bet is to pay a professional plumber.

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • Good but not great
