Wow! The thing is just amazing! I bought it specifically for cleaning the sofa. With 6 pets and 2 kids, I've tried pretty much every product on the market to keep my couch in decent shape. I was actually thinking of throwing the damn thing on the curb and investing in floor cushions when I stumbled across this car. (ok ok I didn't take the idea very seriously but the thought popped into my head. LOL) Anyway, in reality; Who likes to shampoo the couch?! There's nothing worse than spending hours trying to clean something only to end up making it look like you've never cleaned it before. However, this car changed everything for me. First, it's very easy to set up and use. Second, it works. Third, it is easy to store and clean. Remove the cover and really clean the inside suction area. The suction is strong enough to remove stray fur that didn't get in when pre-vacuuming, even if the sofa is wet! The spray nozzle has a wide coverage area. It was a bit difficult for me as I had to clean the built-in socket section in the center consoles. The spray also made the floor a bit damp when I got to the edges. I've found that gently squeezing the nozzle gives a dripping stream of water rather than a powerful stream. The integrated hose cleaner is also great. Dirty hoses = smelly water smell. I read some reviews that mentioned it was leaking at the base of the machine. This was NOT the case for me. Not a single drop fell out of my car. I was also very generous with the water when spraying the nozzle, using moderate effort in repetitive motions to suck it all up. It took me about an hour to make my five piece sofa including the cantilever section, backrests and armrests. By the time I finished the last pillow, the first pillow I started with had already started to dry. The cord is quite long for the size of the car, but I wish it was a few feet longer as I had to switch sockets to finish. the other half of my sofa. I also wish the hose was a little longer so it can reach the top of my large high back sofa while still keeping the car on the ground. The hose length is about 45 inches (no tension, no nozzle); My sofa is 44 inches high and has large deep pillows. The hose doesn't go through them enough to give me the height I need to reach the top. I didn't really care as the machine is light enough to be lifted and held with one hand while cleaning with the other. This is not a problem even for most standard size sofas. Overall, I still hate cleaning the sofa, but that's not the machine's fault. At least it now looks clean when I'm done, unlike other products I've tried in the past.
