Great little tip for these packages 0603
I got this tip because I needed to solder very small (for me) parts for a project. With no prior experience with SMD soldering, I was able to solder 0603 parts fairly easily that would have been blown off by the tip that came with my TS100 iron. Heats up lightning fast, but doesn't have enough thermal mass to deal with heavy ground aircraft. A cap needed this tip to solder the ungrounded side and another, stronger tip to work with the ground plane on the other side. But most of all I like this tip for difficult work.
