The best way to clean cast iron and stainless steel pans.

The best way to clean cast iron and stainless steel without scratching them. Eliminates the need for SOS pillows. If food sticks to the pan, I add some water and drops of soap and heat over medium-high for about a minute. Then I let it sit for a few minutes before using the scrubber. If it's too hot I use a spatula to move the scrubber around. After cleaning and rinsing, I place the pan back on the warm stovetop until it dries, then brush with cooking oil or cast iron oil. Finally, I dry it off with a paper towel. The scrubber comes out pretty clean after use, but I prefer to wash it in the dishwasher. I recommend this item as a "must have" for all kitchens.
