Review on Strathmore Hardbound Watercolor Journal Sheets Painting, Drawing & Art Supplies by Stephanie Johnson

Disappointing Watercolor Paper for Arts and Crafts

This paper claims to be ideal for watercolor painting, but it doesn't hold up to even the lightest washes. The texture is rough and uneven, making it difficult to apply paint smoothly. On the positive side, the pages are hardbound and won't easily tear or fall out of the book. However, for the price, there are much better options available for artists looking for high-quality watercolor paper.

Pros
  • High-quality paper for watercolor painting
Cons
  • Slightly more expensive than other watercolor journals on the market
