I had a touchless trashcan for over 10 years. After several battery changes over these 10 years, it finally stopped working. Ordered this one and was pleased that it also had a power adapter. Yaay not so many battery replacements!I’ve had this touch less since July 2019 and was looking forward to many years of usage. No such luck. It stopped working a week ago. Makes whirring noise flashes green and red lights as if it’s trying to open, but it doesn’t. One year Warranty is over so I’m stuck with an $80.00 trash can that doesn’t work. It was suggested that I purchase replacement top. It costs about half the price of buying new trashcan. I’d rather buy cheaper touch less can for $50.00 than pay $50.00 for replacement top. It worked well for a year, but beware if you purchase this can. It may give out on you after years warranty is up. I guess I was spoiled after first one I had lasted so long and expected as much from this one.
