This advertises the best accuracy in a broader range of cooking including frying and confectionery. I use it on the grill for unusual and complex dishes to determine the right degree of doneness. like a whole chicken and a boneless leg of lamb. Also suitable for steaks with bones. Once inserted, the final reading is so quick that I can take multiple readings and get an eyeball average — all without reading glasses thanks to the large, easy-to-read display. There's no backlight, so you'll have some light on hand when it's dark. I will use it every time I grill because it's so fast. The case is a bit odd as it only protects the SS sensor and not the display/button area, but I can live with that. Works so well I bought one for my mum for Mother's Day and am planning another for my sister for Christmas, both are keen cooks.
