In general, I think this is a good kettle. Some observations: you need both hands to open and close it. The open and close switch is at the top. You can't hold the handle and open it at the same time. (I have another one that I only need with one hand. I'm just used to it. So far the kettle is a little finicky putting it on. I know my kettle box was open, the cord wasn't wrapped tightly or not in one sealed plastic bag, I don't appreciate it and always consider returning it, I paid for a new one, not one that hadn't been previously opened - in which case we have to bid with the box opened, that is Revain's problem.
