I bought 3 of these units for different rooms in the house. Their PVR functionality is very buggy. I don't have a full record set up yet. When setting up a live recording, for some reason the recording stops after 10 minutes and I didn't even change the channel. If you set up a PVR recording manually, you'll get a slightly longer recording, but not the one you set it up for. There is an error somewhere and it means you cannot use the PVR functionality. The second issue is related to fast forwarding on PVR - pressing the forward button gives you 10 seconds. Forward. Since the ad is 3 minutes long, you have to press this button 18 times (I actually counted)! According to the specs, this device is more reliable with more memory, so you might think it can buffer and stream smoothly, but no, it doesn't buffer and you will experience freezes at the slightest internet slowdown. I had to increase the speed to 200 Mbps to avoid problems. However, as others have noted, issues with Prime and Netflix are not the problem with this box. I understand that Prime and Netflix will not play along. But there is no reason for poor PVR functionality. My main reason for buying the latest XRS was to get the latest version. Eventually, when I've had other boxes with better functionality, I might have to switch. If PVR functionality is important to you, I suggest you check out the other options.
