Works fine, with one caveat.
This article came about while I was looking for a door opener for my 2005 Ford Expedition. When I pulled the old one out, I was disappointed to find that the white splined shaft was larger and shaped differently than the new one. Luckily the internals were identical, so I took them both apart and swapped the shafts. Works like clockwork.
