Review on Tokina 12 24Mm Autofocus Digital Cameras by Liang Chi-en ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The price/quality ratio is great, I will buy again.

I bought the lens before going on vacation, after reading a review about the first Tokina AT-X 124 PRO DX model on photAmazon. Having looked at competitors in the face of Sigma / Tamron, I decided to stop at it, and Canon EF-S 10-22 f / 3.5-4.5 USM pts. expensive is not much cheaper than the full-frame EF 17-40 / 4L. Shooting is always better with a hood. Night and day landscape shooting is impressive, but unfortunately I did not immediately buy a polarizing filter, I bought it with a Marumi DHG Lens Protect filter and used it with it. It was used with a Canon 350D camera, it is much better to shoot a night landscape on a 500D, IMHO. An interesting combination with Tokina Canon AF 10-17 mm F/3.5-4.5 AT-X DX Fisheye.

Pros
  • Excellent build quality, the price-quality ratio is very good, the internal focusing system is sharp, the metal body, color reproduction, the presence of an ultrasonic motor, constant aperture over the entire length, viewing angle, the presence of a lens hood.
Cons
  • Not L-ka, EF-S lens, not suitable for full frame, expensive filters.
