From time to time I like to change out the lights in my house. The light switch isn't that easy to reach, so this tool comes in very handy when I turn off a light that's only connected to a switch. I have a multimeter here which is overkill for my purposes and very difficult to use. This tool is very easy to test live wires. I always use in socket to make sure it works before I use it, to make sure it actually works before trusting its result.
